Interactive learning has never been more accessible. SeaQuest offers an up-close and hands-on educational experience for all field trips. Students will get the chance to learn about and interact with various land and sea creatures. Your guide will discuss animal care, habitation management, and conservation activities.

About Our Field Trips

 

Elementary and middle school adventurers will participate in hands-on activities designed to test their observation and scientific reasoning skills. Teenage explorers will learn about animal psychology, positive reinforcement as a training tool, symbiotic relationships, and the dangers of invasive species in wild habitats.

Each Field trip guided tour and hands-on interactive experience delivers:

  • An increased appreciation for our planet’s oceans.
  • A new respect and awe for marine life and the rich aquatic resources of our planet.
  • Understanding our ecosystems as they engage the senses for maximized learning.
  • Free time to explore.

SeaQuest Advanced Science Lab

Recommended for Grades 3rd-12th Duration: 35 minutes 25 participants per lab

 

This lab will take an in-depth journey behind the scenes into the scientific methodology
of animal biology and habitat maintenance. In this Lab, students will:

  • Learn about water filtration and the different types of systems used at SeaQuest, which ensure the healthiest living environment possible for our animals.
  • Practice water testing to understand what we test for, why, and how to read and analyze the results.
  • Participate in a squid dissection to get a first-hand look at the anatomy and biological elements of marine life.

SeaQuest Planet Protector Conservation Lab

Recommended for Grades K-2nd Duration: 35 minutes 25 participants per lab

 

This lab focuses on conservation, sustainability, and ways to protect wildlife habitats. The Planet Protector lab will encourage kids to engage in fun activities that help broaden their academic understanding of climate change and teach them to help the environment.
In this Lab, students will:

  • Participate in activities about pollination, tree, and plant growth, and how weather contributes to the balance of our ecosystems.
  • Study the effects of chemical and oil contamination in our oceans and land habitats.
  • Practice fun projects centered around recycling and reducing waste.

At the end of each lab, there will be a brief question-and-answer session with your instructor, who will give some great tips for students to use safe environmental practices at home!

Reservations are required for all Field Trips. We recommend booking your preferred date as soon as possible; spots fill up quickly!
