Rock On: Red Rock Canyon Las Vegas
Take a walk on the rock side – a field trip to Red Rock Canyon is a great way to get students out of the classroom and into the fresh air for some fun learning! Water Works: Hoover Dam and Power Plant
It’s the second largest dam in the US and has a rich and amazing history. The Hoover Dam is a fantastic field trip option to stimulate kids’ attention to the beauty of science and nature and how they work together to create electric power and freshwater resources for large populations of people. Yee Haw! Bonnie Springs Ranch
Located about 15 miles outside Las Vegas, Bonnie Springs Ranch is located on 115 acres and offers a shooting gallery, museum, petting zoo, and horseback and stagecoach rides. School field trips are usually a day filled with a Western flare. Students will get a taste of the Old West complete with cowboys, a gunfight & hanging reenactments, and learn about the fascinating Nevada history, including an insight into the old mining industry.
